Directions to Springs Airfield
From Johannesburg, head out as if you were going to OR Tambo International.

At the R24/N12 split, instead of taking the R24 to OR Tambo, take the right hand split and continue on the N12 towards Boksburg/Witbank.

Continue along the N12 until Junction 447 which is sign-posted Springs/Daveyton.

At the top of the off ramp turn right, back over the freeway along the R51.

Once over the freeway continue until the 3rd set of robots (Sasol Garages on each side of the dual carriageway just the other side of the robots) and turn right along the R29 Main Reef Road.

Continue along the R29 for approximately 2km and take the first road left, Hospital Road (M56).

You cross the railway track and continue straight on. You will ultimately enter a suburb and go through two “Stop signs”. You will then come to a 4 way stop with a Zenex and a small shopping Centre with Pick n Pay on your right.

At the 4 way stop continue straight on. Ultimately you will come to a traffic slowing roundabout outside the Far East Rand Hospital. Approximately 50 meters past this roundabout is a road junction.

Turn right into South Main Reef Road. Continue down this road and you will see the airfield on your right. At the end of this road is a roundabout. Round the roundabout and third exit along Olympia Road keeping the airfield on your right. Approximately 20 meters from the roundabout is the entrance to the airfield.
